IOT participates in foundation professorship

Dr. Thomas Arnold appointed as professor to an endowed professorship at the Technical University of Dresden.

Within the scope of a joint appointment procedure of the Leibniz Institute for Surface Modification Leipzig (IOM) and the Dresden University of Technology, Dr. Thomas Arnold was appointed to the endowed professorship for surface precision machining with ions and plasmas at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering on July 1, 2014.

The endowed professorship is financed by companies from the optics industry and special mechanical engineering, IOT – Innovative Oberflächentechnologien GmbH, JENOPTIK Optical Systems GmbH, Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH, NTGL – Nano Technologie Leipzig GmbH and AKT – Angewandte Kommunikationstechnik GmbH
